Wednesday:
Adiós to Granada. We got up early again and trekked down the long hill, bumping our suitcases noisily behind us until we found a taxi (it was at least a mile of awkwardly dragging the suitcases and getting odd looks). We got to the train station with plenty of time and had our customary pre-train café con leche, breakfast nummies and bought a few bocadillos (sandwiches) for the 4 ½ hour train ride… We just arrived in Madrid and got settled into our hotel. Just relaxing for a bit until it cools off a bit outside and we’ll go wander around and get our bearings a bit in Spain’s largest city (over 3 million people). Fortunately we’re staying close to the main sights: Prado, Reina Sofía and the Parque Retiro so we won’t have to wander too farJ
